Consultations are always free and required to receive services with us. Consultations can be provided remotely or in-person. You will meet with both your primary and back-up Doulas.
Hospice patients and their caregivers will be informed by medical staff when the time is coming for a dying patient. Our doulas will be on call to ensure that our clients will not go through this process or grief alone. If your loved one is in a nursing home while you are far away we can be there to contact you during their final moments. If you are a dying person who does not have family or friends to call upon at your time of death medical staff can be given our contact information so that we can be there for you. We will make sure to contact the appropriate funeral home, crematory, religious personnel, whatever your last wishes may be at the time of your passing.
Being informed that you are facing a terminal pregnancy (your OBGYN has informed you that your baby will not survive on its own for any length of time or will be stillborn) Our Doulas are here to support you in any decisions regarding continuing your pregnancy. We will assist you through the birthing process should you continue your pregnancy to term. We will accompany you to terminate your pregnancy should you choose to do so. We will provide grief support and talk about ways for you to remember your little one.
It is our thorough belief that it is every person's right to decide what happens to their body. It can be a difficult decision whether to continue a pregnancy or not. Should you find yourself in this situation contact us for a consultation. We will help you walk through your available options. Should you choose to have an abortion our we will support you throughout it. We will bring you to your facility of choice, we will accompany you (if you so choose), and we will bring you home. We will be available for emotional support as you process any grief and are healing.
